Competence portfolios of early-stage researchers
Dr. Christian Dumpitak
Managing Director, iGRAD HHU
• Language English
Early-stage researchers have invested huge amounts of time and effort in their individual qualifications. They are therefore frequently sought-after experts on various labour markets. However, when it comes to making their entire portfolio of subject related, but also generic competencies plausible to potential future employers, many candidates do not find this easy. We will discuss how this might occur, what generic competences can be developed during early-stage research phases and how a corresponding model can be used to reflect and communicate one’s own competence portfolio.
